Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVAL TRANSFER TO COLOMBO

Welcomed by our representative on arrival at Colombo International Airport and transferred to your selected hotel in Colombo. Take an afternoon city tour of Colombo to explore the commercial capital and experience the hustle and bustle that is part and parcel of this city.

Return to your hotel for your overnight stay.

DAY 02: COLOMBO - SINHARAJA

After breakfast leave for Sinharaja and check in to your hotel of choice. En-route visit the gem museum and a gem mine in Ratnapura to gain an insight into precious and semi-precious stones mined in Sri Lanka.

Check in to your hotel in Sinharaja for the overnight stay.

DAY 03: TREK THROUGH SINHARAJA

Take a picnic breakfast to enjoy during your morning trek as you explore the Sinharaja Forest Reserve.

Return to your hotel in Sinharaja for the night.

DAY 04: SINHARAJA - TISSAMAHARAMA

After breakfast leave for Tissamaharama and check in to your hotel of choice. Go on safari in the Yala National park in the afternoon and keep a lookout for the many species of wildlife in their natural habitat.

Return to your hotel for the night in Tissamaharama.

DAY 05: TISSAMAHARAMA - NUWARA ELIYA

After breakfast visit Buduruwagala Temple on your way to Nuwara Eliya. Visit the Buduruwagala Temple to see the 51 foot Buddha Statue and other rock carvings from the Mahayana tradition. Take a city tour of Nuwara Eliya and enjoy the quaint old English village atmosphere.

Proceed to your hotel of choice for the overnight stay.

DAY 06: NUWARA ELIYA - HORTON PLAINS - KANDY

Take a packed breakfast with you as you proceed to Horton Plains for a 4-hour trek. Go on a morning trek in Horton Plains and enjoy the fresh air and breathtaking views. Proceed to Kandy after your trek and check in to your hotel of choice. Explore the city of Kandy with a city tour that concludes with the Cultural Dance Performance.

Return to your hotel for the night in Kandy.

DAY 07: KANDY - IPERANIGAMA - NEGOMBO

After breakfast visit Pinnawela Iperanigama on your way to Negombo. Explore life in the 17th and 18th centuries in Sri Lankan villages with this tour of Pinnewela Iperanigama. Check in to your hotel of choice in Negombo for the overnight stay. Take a city tour in the afternoon and explore the fishing village of Negombo including some of its colonial history.

Return to your hotel in Negombo for the overnight stay.

DAY 08: DEPARTURE FROM NEGOMBO

Your tour ends this morning after breakfast and your transfer will be provided to the airport in time for your departure flight.

Alternatively, you can choose to extend this tour with a stay at any of the options available in Sri Lanka or the Maldives.
